Scientists are reporting that there was a major sun storm 20 times the size of the usual solar flares,
and that this eruption may greatly affect radio and satellite transmissions. The movie,
Frequency, seems to have come at the right time
as scientists know that the sun has approached the peak of its current solar cycle.

Okay, I must admit, I like
Winona Ryder.
I think she's a talented and gifted actress,
as well as a great looking young lady. So, without saying I'm a fan, I will admit that
I love her work. Anyway, I just saw her recent movie released on DVD,
"Girl, Interrupted",
and I really liked it!

I'm totally wiped out from last night's show at
The Derby.
It was fun though, and there were some very enthusiastic
dancers (from New York City) who made it worthwhile.

Without getting into the benefits of the
Mozart Effect on young children,
I've been playing lots of Mozart and Beethoven lately, as it definitely benefits
my own spiritual, physical and mental health.

Yesterday afternoon, we looked to the east and saw huge, dark puffs of smoke rising. What apparently was an
obvious brush fire, we began to worry because it appeared to be close to our home. As we headed in that direction
we had a better impression of where the fire was located, much farther from our home. One of my biggest fears
is losing our home and all our belongings to a devestating fire, and
my heart goes out to all who have lost their homes in the New Mexico
fires.

I recently rented the DVD,
Snow Falling On Cedars.
I was very much moved by the plight of the Japanese-Americans sent to the Internment Camps.
It prompted me to check out a site about
Hiroshima,
and then another site about the
Japanese-American Internment.
